#AdventureBorneo bring me on my first ever exploration to Kalimantan. Never before set my foots on this island let alone exploring the natural wonders here.
Tanjung Puting National Park, a voyage to better appreciate the importance of one world's oldest tropical rainforests right through the Heart of Borneo.
From the get go, I can sense that this whole journey will be one of my two-thousand-fifteen highlights.
Cruising Sekonyer River with traditional boat named Klotok, catch sight of swarming fireflies along nipa and mangrove swamps and night trekking across Tanjung Harapan. An eventful first night that builds up the excitement.
Woken up by the screeching sound of playful monkeys, is much less annoying than the usual blaring alarm. A harmonious interaction of the livings and its surroundings, so captivating!
Exploring Pondok Tanggui and Camp Leakey feeding area is a must while you're here. Observe the orangutans feeds while surrounded by dozens of butterflies is a one-of-a-kind experience. So lucky that we encounter several orangutans on our way back to Klotok. A rare chance as the ranger/guide told us.
The slight interaction with orangutans at Camp Leakey is the most memorable highlight for me.
Thanks to Rimba Orangutan Ecolodges for our pleasant stay. And kudos to Kalstar Aviation for this #AdventureBorneo project that bring much more awareness to the Borneo Ecotourism for Indonesians and the International peers.
Thanks for the wonderful team and a lifelong friendship. Can't wait to explore more from Borneo!
